Alamzar's story

Alamzar is 46 years old and married with a daughter and three sons. They are refugees and live in an IDP settlement. Her husband is a teacher at kindergarten but earnings from this job aren’t enough and the main source of income for family is farming. Almazar raises and sells seasonal vegetables such as pumpkin, cucumber, potatoes and so on. She has been raising them and selling at the local bazaar for 24 years and has good experience in this area. Her monthly income is 200AZN. Vegetables are in high demand in Azerbaijan because people like to use them for fresh salads and delicious national dishes. They go to local groceries to buy fresh and tasty vegetables. They know that vegetables raised in private gardens are always fresh and without pesticides. Almazar needs money to cover the family’s demands. She applied for 1500AZN in order to purchase quality fertilizers to increase her harvest and income.This is her fourth loan and she has a good client history.
