Eva Yaneth's story

Eva is 25-years-old, studied through her fifth year of secondary school, is married, and has 2 children (one girl who is 5 and one boy who is 1). She lives at Jr. Manco Capac interior 29 in the district of Ilave, the province of El Collao, in Puno. She has belonged to the communal bank, "La Ilaveñita" in Ilave since last year.

With her first loan of 300 nuevos soles, she bought one second-hand television for 280 nuevos soles. When she was 22, she formed her family, and since then she has bought and sold used devices. She receives her order every two weeks or every month. Her husband helps her with her business because he is a repairman. With this credit of 800 nuevos soles, which will be repaid in 3 months, she will purchase a stereo for 700 nuevos soles, which she will sell at the market in Ilave.

Her goal is to build her own house in the city of Ilave and to educate her children so they can be professionals. "Since I became a part of the communal bank, I have learned to be more responsible and punctual, and that is very good," says Doña Eva.
