Norah Al- Noseri Group's story

This group is called Norah Al-Noseri. It is comprised of four women. They all live in traditional and simple families, in Sana'a, Yemen. They know one another through friendship and neighborhood connections. They applied for a loan of 190,000 YER from AMB.

Asrya is a 36-year-old, married woman, and she has six children. She is the leader of the group. Asrya lives with her family in their own house. She is an uneducated woman, and she works as a housewife. She is very dynamic and vigorous. Her husband is the sole breadwinner of the family. Their house is very small. The family couldn't afford to change this condition, and they feel ashamed, particularly if any visitor or guest comes to the house in order to visit them. Sana'a has a cold climate in most of the year's days. The house has a small bathroom. They need a water heater inside the bathroom in order to make water hot, but there isn't any place to put the water heater. Asrya decided to build a large bathroom, beside the first one. As a result, Asrya is requesting a loan of 50,000 YER from AMB. She will use the loan to purchase construction materials, in order to build a large bathroom.

Asrya looks forward to building the second floor of the house, and renovating it in order to make her house more comfortable.
