A loan of $300 helped to buy fertilizer to plant corn and prepare his land.

Santos Henrrique's story

Santos, 30, studied up until the fourth grade due to his family's poverty. He is a single father. His life partner abandoned him and now has another partner. He has three children who live with his mother and brother.

Santos works in agriculture. He learned about this work from his mother. His father abandoned them when he was very small. In the morning, he works at another farm and in the afternoon he works on his own farm. His work day starts at 4:30am. He walks for 30 minutes to get to the other farm, where he works for six hours before he can work on his own farm in the afternoon.

He will invest this loan in the purchase of fertilizer to plant corn and prepare his land.

Santos dreams of giving his children an education so that they can have decent work. He would also like to buy land in the future to build his own house.
