Gbedokpo Vedoko Group's story

The Gbedokpo Vedoko group is made up of three people who all practise the same religion. The representative of the group, Sésiédé Claudine (the one with her hand raised in the photo), is 34 years old and married to a welder called Fidèle. The couple has three children, all at school and two of whom are in couple's care. Sésiédé Claudine lives with her husband and children. The couple covers the various family expenses between them. For this reason, Sésiédé Claudine has for the past ten years been selling "gari" (cassava flour) and corn in her region. As a secondary activity she sells vegetable oil. She gets her supplies in a Benin market. With a view to boosting her business and satisfying her customer demand, Sésiédé Claudine, together with the other members of the Gbedokpo Vedoko group, would like to obtain a loan from Alidé.
