A loan of $2,175 helped a member to purchase two superior piglets and feed and to renovate a cage.

Sedana Yoga Group's story

To improve their relationships and business progress, the Sedana Yoga group always exchanges information among members about the development of pig breeding. In group meetings, which are held once a month, they always exchange information so that they can raise pigs properly. The Sedana Yoga group has obtained this new larger loan. The members of the group are the same from the previous loan. The loan will be used for improving their pig businesses.

By maintaining pigs for pig barbeque (“babi guling” in Bahasa), Ni Nengah earns a satisfactory profit. The profit is set aside for business capital and saving. By raising pigs, Ni Nengah is able to boost the economy and help the family income for the welfare of her family. Ni Nengah will use her loan to purchase 2 superior piglets for fattening and feed and to renovate a cage. The piglets will be sold 5 months later. Her daily needs come from her husband. Her husband works as a farmer and he is really happy for that. He supports his wife’s business by maintaining the pigs with feeding and washing the cage every afternoon. Ni Nengah and her husband hope that both their pig business and farming activities will succeed.
