A loan of $600 helped to buy 6 bags of fertilizer, 2 bags of seeds, and pay labor costs.

Edilberto's story

Edilberto, 63 years old, because of the distance only went to school until the second grade of primary school, and afterwards decided to work in agriculture. He has a partner and with her has 4 children. She takes care of the household tasks and the care of the domestic animals (chickens). Two of the children have partners, and 2 are in school and are dependent on him.

Edilberto has 50 years of experience in this work, because since he was very young he decided to do this work, as he didn't have the opportunity to continue at school. He learned this work because his father taught it to him since he was very young. He goes by foot 30 minutes to get to the place where he works, and 2 of his children help him since they go to school in the afternoon and have the opportunity to help him in the morning.

The loan he is requesting is to buy 6 bags of fertilizer, 2 bags of seeds, and pay labor costs.

He hopes that with his loan he will be able to have and maintain his cornfield well, so he can have better output and have food for his entire family.
