Lida is a 21-year-old single woman from Preah Sihanouk, Cambodia. She lives with her family comprised of her parents and siblings. Lida is now a second-semester student of her first academic year at Life University. At this nursing college, her major is midwifery. Her ambition is to be employed in a public sector after graduation. Currently her education is subsidized by her parents.

Due to the shortage of funds, Lida would like to borrow a new loan to cover the costs of her school tuition for the second semester and pay for other related expenses. In the future, Lida hopes to earn a good salary, so she will be able to help her parents when they are older and to improve their general living conditions. Lida is very happy and thankful for the loan funded via a program like Kiva to allow poor students to pursue a higher education while contributing to the future development of Cambodia.
