Va's story

Va S., 26, is married and lives with three young children in the Kampong Cham, Cambodia. She is a dealer, purchasing rubber, beans and yams and then reselling them to the big dealer in the village to earn a living. She is able to make around US$5 per day, while her husband operates a motor-taxi, earning US$4 per day. One of their children is a student.

Va S. would like to take out a loan of US$1200 to purchase produce in bulk. This way, she can save money and also expand her business.
