A loan of $1,125 helped to purchase food for her small herd of cattle in summer; concentrate, vitamins, and de-worming medication.

Reina Isabel's story

Reina lives in the Department of Chotales with her husband. She works in cattle breeding and has her own plot inherited from her parents. She has 3 children the two eldest go to university and the youngest is in primary school. She has to pay expenses for her children and for the home. Her husband helps her out however it isn’t enough to cover other necessary expenses and this is why she is requesting a loan.

With the loan she will purchase concentrate, molasses, salt, vitamins, and de-worming medication for her small herd of cattle, to prevent the grass from drying and losing weight in summer. She strives daily so that her children are prepared and learn cattle breeding activities and that in the future they are independent.
