A loan of $925 helped plant beans.

Jesús Daniel's story

Jesús Daniel, 19 years old, is single and lives with his parents and siblings who are his main priority. With his loan, he plans to buy fertilizer which gives him good results in developing his crops and other products to use in sowing his crops and germinating them well, and high quality bean seeds, as well as pay labor costs for applying the products and assistance on the farm once it has been developed. In this way, he would assure himself of doing a good job in conserving the soil to avoid soil erosion. What he wants to do is take advantage of the good climatic conditions and soil that are present in the area for this crop, and also to apply his experience in growing basic grains. In addition, he can buy better and higher quality products, so that his farm has a healthy and abundant harvest, and to have a good production in the short-term. With the income that he hopes to get from this harvest, he wants to use it for the well-being and education of his family and to accomplish some family goals and to continue investing more in his crops. This is the first loan that he has received from FUDECOSUR. He has never had any other loans in state banks, but FUDECOSUR has offered him the loan with better terms and a much lower interest rate.
