Juka started her career by owning an African market in Los Angeles, California for three years. She realized there was a lack of authentic, pure and natural products in the United States from Africa. In 2013, she decided to launch Juka's Organic Co. Her objective is to combine a variety of innovative items (Organic Red Palm Oil, Shea butter, Herbal Medicines, African Tea and lots more) from the historic past of Africa to tailor them to fit today's contemporary life while still maintaining the authenticity of these products. Growing up in West Africa, Juka was inspired by her family members who were all involved in prominent businesses in her community. Her father was the first one to introduce Sonoco Motor Oil throughout her country and her grandfather was the first one to have owned a supermarket in his village. With the help and guidance of her mother, who has launched and owned many successful businesses in the African community, Juka was able to partner with women from small villages of West Africa to exclusively supply their hand selected, unrefined sustainable organic red palm oil.
