Nuevo Nance Amarillo 5 Group's story

Edilberto, 35, is a farmer from the department of Ahuachapan. With his father and brother they form the credit solidarity group known as Nuevo Nance Amarillo 5. All of them work in agriculture, mainly the cultivation of basic grains like maize and sorghum.

Edilberto has a common law wife. He had to finish his studies after the sixth grade because his parents had very limited economic resources and they could not continue supporting him through school. Edilberto had to start working at a very young age to help out his family. Now, he has three children between the ages of 7 and 12. Two of them are in school and the third does not study due to learning problems.

Edilberto is requesting this loan to buy agricultural supplies for the cultivation of basic grains, which he hopes will produce good economic results in order to continue supporting his family and keep his children in school. His dream is to see his children become professionals so that they can have better opportunities of working in other industries and with that opportunity, improve their quality of life.
