In the city of Tosagua the"Mutre Afuera" communal bank meets every fortnight. They work in different activities such as farming, raising animals and business in general.

One of the members of the group is María. She is 40 years old is in a common-law relationship from which she has 3 children aged 5, 13 and 19. The two youngest study in Secondary and Primary schools. Her husband is a businessman.

María is a woman who likes to work to help her husband get ahead. So several years ago she built a shed to raise chickens. She buys chickens when they are small at an agricultural center in the city and feeds them and when they are big enough she sells them to neighbors and some stores in her area.

This loan is to buy feed and medicine for the chickens. María has been a member of the group for 3 years and she likes it as the loans help a lot buying feed. Her dream is to give the best to her children. The inserted photo is of two members who could not be present when the photo was taken.
