Forty-one-year-old María is very kind and hardworking. She lives with her children in her own home; her husband lives in the United States and he helps her with the household expenses. She works very hard on her own plot where she grows corn and beans; her produce is very good quality and when her harvest is ready she stores it in granaries like the one shown in the photograph so she can go out and sell it in the different markets close to her home. María is requesting a loan from INTEGRAL so she can have the money she needs to invest in farming supplies, such as pest control, fertilizers, manures, and seeds, among other things she needs for her crop. She is eager to increase her sales so she will see better profits and offer her family better financial stability.
