Anna is engaged in beekeeping. She gets high-quality honey, which she sells in Yerevan town.

Anna herself lives in Kapan, which is located in the Syunik region. Her family consists of her husband and two little children (ages 11 and 5 years old). Beekeeping is the only source of income for this family, so Anna and her husband work hard to gather good honey.

The requested loan of USD 2,800 will help Anna to purchase supplies needed for renovating the colonies of bees. She has taken a loan from local financial institutions before, but because of very difficult financial conditions, wasn't able to pay it back on time. Now, by ensuring that her beekeeping is successful and that she is able to provide monthly payments for this loan, Anna has been approved for this loan.

She has been approved for the loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF International. The second-chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products.
