A loan of $1,200 helped to buy more drugs.

Serepio's story

Serepio is 35 years old and lives in the town of Fort Portal in the Fort Portal region of Uganda. He is married and has four children, all of whom are currently in school.

For the past five years, Serepio has been working hard to manage his drug shop, which sells drugs.

To help expand his business, Serepio has requested a loan of 3,000,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more drugs, and will help Serepio to generate greater profits and improve daily sales.

Serepio hopes that in the future he will be able to transform into a sub pharmacy.

Serepio is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Serepio who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
