A loan of $525 helped to clean his 2.5 acres of mature cacao trees.

Ernesto's story

Ernesto is a young cacao farmer and also a member of the Belize Army Force, living in the beautiful village of San Jose, Toledo. He is a father of two children and currently owns 2.5 acres of cacao trees that are 10 years of age. He started cacao farming because he got inspired by seeing his dad selling and owning such a productive crop. He also cultivates ground food such as cassava, corn, etc. Due to his hectic work schedule and time for his family, he requires extra labor and therefore is requesting a loan to assist him in cleaning his farm.
