A loan of $1,475 helped to buy agricultural supplies to nurse her coffee plants in this new season.

Carmen's story

Carmen is a 41 year old woman and mother of 3 children, 2 of whom are in school. The three of them work on different jobs in the country together with their father. She has an incomplete primary school education, which she finished up until third grade - her family is economically humble and they didn't have the necessary resources to support her.

She has a lot of experience in agricultural work. Her parents taught her how to work the land from a very young age, where coffee is grown. This is the only source of income for her family and families in the community where they live. Her customers are the different buyers who arrive to the region (owners of the benefits).

Today, she is applying for help for the purchase of agricultural supplies like manure, fertilizer, liquid plant food, among others, for the maintenance of her coffee plants. With this support, she will be able to protect her crops and they will be more safe from pests, among others.

Her goal and current endeavor is the purchase of a truck with which she will be able to fill her coffee cart where she can earn a little more. She also wants to improve the production of coffee by buying more land and planting coffee there. In this manner, she will generate more income for her family and, in the same manner, strengthen the inheritance.
