A loan of $1,925 helped to buy additional cattle.

Chimnaz's story

Chimnaz is 58 years old, married, and has two daughters and two sons. The members of the family are refugees and live in an IDP (internally displaced persons) settlement. Her husband is a laborer. Chimnaz has been working as a farmer for 30 years. She raises sheep and cows, and then sells meat, milk, and sheep wool at a local bazaar. Her monthly income is 220 AZN.

Cattle breeding is one of the most prevalent parts of farming. People breed sheep, cows, etc. Then they sell milk and meat at local bazaars for big markets or restaurants.

Chimnaz doesn’t earn enough money and can’t cover her living expenses. She applied for 1500 AZN in order to buy additional cattle to increase her income.
