Teodora's story

Teodora lives in Santa Rosa del Peñón municipality, in the India region of León, a region where the majority of the population works in mining gold and business. Teodora is 57 years old, married, and does not have children dependent upon her. With the little she earns she supports her home. Her husband works in gold mining in a small mine located in the region where she lives.

Two years ago she began a small convenience store where she sells cosmetics and groceries. This business began with a bit of capital that they saved from her husband's income, but their dreams are to have better living conditions. The store is located within their home, an idea that that emerged because her husband's work is a health risk and in the future they plan to live of of this small convenience store.

The loan will be used to buy corn, beans, sugar, oil, rice and cosmetics to better stock her business. She trusts in God to continue receiving support from Kiva and Ceprodel through these small loans that help her so much in the development of her life.
