Zuma Group's story

Maclaud, who is in his mid 50s, is married with three children who are still in school. He has been running a bar and a restaurant business for nine years now. He works from 5 am until midnight daily and is able to make a very good monthly profit.

This will be Maclaud's 10th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to expand and repair his restaurant/bar, which used to be small but is now big and attractive. He has paid back all his loans successfully. He is doing fine with the loan. He used the profit to pay school fees, build his house and cover household expenses. He will use this loan to buy beer, wine, spirits, soda, juice and water. He dreams of improving his lifestyle.

Maclaud will share this loan with his four-member loan group "Zuma". The members will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
