Hoen's Group's story

Hoen is 24 years old and a married mother blessed with two children. Her main source of income is from rice and cassava farming. She also earned extra income via a pig-raising business. She can earn 25,000 KHR per day via this business to support the family. Now, she is seeking her first loan with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) and she is a leader of three. She and her joint-borrowers are requesting a loan of the same amount of 1,000,000 KHR each. As the leader, she will spend her entire loan portion to buy pig’s feed and more pigs for raising as well as to pay for a vaccination fee for her pigs. She strongly hopes to earn increase her income via this business.
