A loan of $1,475 helped to buy fertilizers, manure, and insecticides for her coffee crop.

Norma's story

Norma is young and very happy who, at age 23, is a determined and enterprising woman who never stops dreaming big. She only completed school through second grade due to her parents' limited resources. She is married and relies on her husband's support, who works with her in agriculture. She has three children with her husband, the oldest of whom goes to their local school and is in the first grade. Their second child is in kindergarten and the youngest is two years old. She has a lot of experience in agriculture, which she learned from a very young age from her parents. She decided to stick with it since her parents passed on a plot of land to cultivate so she could earn her own income. It is located 20 minutes from the house where she lives. Norma is seeking help in order to buy fertilizers, manure, and insecticides for her coffee crop, as these products are very expensive these days. The thought of a disease caused by not taking precautionary measures that could affect her fields and cause her to lose her crop weighs on her mind. Her dreams for the future are to have an abundant coffee plantation that brings blessings to sustain her family and can be cultivated from generation to generation, and to improve her house as necessary.
