A loan of $2,550 helped a member to buy maize and beans for resale.

Kisinsima Abetereine Group's story

Noelibne is a dedicated woman who has been in the group for the last two cycles. She is a subsistence farmer who operates in a very rural area in the Western region of Uganda.

She grows cassava, maize, and beans on a small scale but manages to sell enough of it to earn some income to meet her family needs. She needs this loan to pay tuition for her two children to attend secondary school. She believes she will earn enough to repay the loan using income from the sale of her agricultural products. She is hard-working and thanks the group for standing by her side and for UGAFODE to agree to lend to them. All the clients in the photograph signed the client waiver forms consenting to publishing.
