A loan of $1,125 helped capitalize and start up his pig-rearing business.

Kleber Raul's story

Kleber lives in Pueblo Nuevo, an area with a warm and wet climate full of friendly and hard-working people. This area holds a traditional festival to celebrate its continued existence every year, and in honour of the divine child. Señor Kleber lives in this small community. He is a hard-working man aged 40, and is currently a single father. He has a young daughter aged 6. He had an unhappy relationship with his wife, and so they separated. His daughter lives with her and he only sees her at weekends. He makes the most of those days to share happy moments with his little girl. He is a builder by trade and he likes the pig-rearing industry, which is why he is requesting a loan to set up his own business.

With this investment, he hopes to increase his earnings to offer his daughter a better future, since because he can't be at home with her he will try to give her everything she needs growing up. Señor Kleber is grateful to Fundación Alternativa and Kiva for the support and opportunities they give.
