Adrian's story

Adrian is 30 years old. He lives in his own house, which is constructed of rustic material, with his wife and their two minor children in the village of Patacón. It is located in a rural zone in the district of Pomahuaca, where the population works in agriculture, commerce, and livestock raising. It is in the province of Jaén, which belongs to the Cajamarca region in the northern mountains of Peru.

He works in agriculture, particularly in the cultivation of rice. He has been doing this for four years. His wife helps him in this work. He has applied for a loan of 2000 PEN to purchase compost for the maintenance of his coffee plantings and to pay for work from day laborers and in this way to have a timely production to offer his customers.
