Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $400 helped to buy seeds, fertilizer, insecticide, tools, etc. and to improve the terrain.

Maria Rosa Evelia's story

Maria is 40 years old and lives in a house she owns with her husband. She makes a living by growing corn and sorghum. She has been working in agriculture for many years and has earned valuable experience that allows her to obtain the best harvests. She has a lot of customers who prefer her because everything she sells is of the highest quality, at accessible prices and with good service.

Maria is a woman who is dedicated to her work and has a great desire to get ahead. She is always looking for opportunities that will enable her to be successful. She intends to work with effort and perseverance so as not to give up on the path. She wants to make a new investment that will allow her to increase her production. She is therefore asking INTEGRAL for a loan that will allow her to buy seeds, fertilizer, insecticide, tools, etc. and to improve the terrain shown in the photograph.

Maria has good payment references; she asserts that she will be able to pay off the debt. She also hopes that she will bring financial security to her home.
