Celia's story

Celia is a 33-year-old, married lady with three children, who resides in Buhera District, Zimbabwe. Celia is a Camfed Learner Guide, teaching life skills and leadership education in local schools to improve the well being of students. She also volunteers as a health trainer in her community. Celia rents a table at the local flea market where she sells products such as sandals, shoes, jeans, shirts, skirts, tracksuits, T-shirts, and bags. She has been running this business for one year now, and it has enabled her to support her family.

With the Kiva loan, Celia will purchase more bags, shoes, jeans, shirts, skirts, tracksuits, and T-shirts to increase her clothing supplies. Her dream is to grow the business and build several boutiques in her community. This will bring sustainable employment for her and for her community people. She aspires to grow in her business and also to help her immediate family members. She started her business to sustain her life, and to provide good education for her three children.
