Rumbidzai's story

Rumbidzai, aged 23, is a single mother with one child. She resides in Buhera District, Zimbabwe.

Rumbidzai is volunteering her time as a Camfed Learner Guide, teaching life skills education in local schools to enhance the skills for the children in her community. She also volunteers as a health trainer in her community.

Rumbidzai rents a table at the local flea market where she sells products such as bicycles, bags, shoes, jeans, shirts, skirts, track suits, and T-shirts. She has been running this business for one year now and it has enabled her to earn a living.

With the Kiva loan, Rumbidzai will purchase more bags, shoes, jeans, shirts, skirts, track suits, and T-shirts to increase her supplies. Her desire is to grow the business and build her own shop. She started her business for her to sustain her life and to provide good education for her only child.
