Josephine is a 36 year old lady living in Kagadi-Uganda with three children aged 15, 14 and 8, with only 2 attending school. She has operated a retail shop since 2009 and has been involved in farming to supplement her income. She hopes to educate her children and also grow her business in spite of competition. Josephine intends to use the loan to buy beans, maize and ground nuts to sell. She is a member of Kiranzi Development Savings and Credit Association where each member guarantees the other to get a loan since they don’t pledge securities.
