Roidith's story

Roydith is a member of the "Las Margaritas" [Daisies] Community Bank. She lives in San Martin region, El Dorado province, in the Agua Blanca district. She owns a neighborhood convenience store and sells prepared foods. Her business is located in her home at Jirón MIguel Grau, no. 214, where her clients -- many of whom live in the neighborhood -- come to make their daily purchases.

With this loan of 1,500 soles [approximately US $ 500] -- which will be paid back in six months -- Roydith plans to purchase basic cooking supplies and other items, such as rice, sugar, milk, oil, canned foods in different sizes, toilet paper, cleaning detergents, and various brands and sizes of soap, among others. In addition, she plans to establish her food sales business. To do this, she will purchase dishware such as pitchers, glasses, spoons and plates to sufficiently stock her business. These purchases also will help ensure her customers can find everything they're looking for and receive good service, as well as improve the look of her business.

Roydith is 44 years old. She lives with her husband and their four children, who motivate her to keep working hard. Roydith is a hard-working woman. Her goal is to own a successful Criolla restaurant.
