Elena's story

Elena is a 58-year old married woman who has two children, aged 27 and 21. She lives with her husband, her children and two grandchildren in their own house. Elena sells food products, such as rice, sugar, bread, eggs, flour, condiments, oil, soft drinks and others. She has a grocery store at home and kindly serves customers from early morning. Fortunately, things are going well and, after two years, she has been able to grow the business and consolidate a broad client-base. She normally works alone, but sometimes counts on her daughter's help. The business is profitable and provides daily income.

She is requesting a loan of 500 soles and is grateful for this financial support that will let her advance her business. She commits to repay as scheduled. She plans to buy food products in bulk for the store, such as sugar, rice. oils and others.
