A loan of $425 helped to purchase cosmetic products to sell.

Djeneba's story

Born in GOUREMA, DJENEBA lives with her five children and husband in a nuclear family in N'TENTOU, in Commune Rurale de OUELESSEBOUGOU, Préfecture de KATI, (Région de Koulikoro), Republic of Mali. Not having the chance to progress in school, DJENEBA soon became interested in revenue-generating businesses, especially in the buying and selling of cosmetic products: soaps.

After having repaid the third individual loan, DJENEBA is now on her fourth individual loan with Soro Yiriwaso. It will be used to purchase 40 boxes of soap. She gets her supplies in Bamako and makes her sales retail to men and women customers paying her back over two weeks, in TENINKOUN.

DJENEBA hopes to make a monthly profit of 50,000 francs CFA that will be used to help out her husband in supporting family needs, pay back the loan, and reinvest the rest in the cosmetics business.
