A loan of $150 helped to invest in working capital and buy CDs and music videos.

Lenin Alberto's story

Lenin, 42, is single and has two children who are studying. He is from Leon, in the western part of the country, and he is hard-working, responsible, and with a desire to get ahead in life. Unfortunately, he was unable to get a degree due to lack of resources, and had to work from an early age to help with the household expenses.
Thanks to his determination to get ahead, he runs a business selling music CDs and videos as a street vendor. He works 10 hours per day offering his products. The purpose of the loan is to buy more CDs in order to offer variety and quality to his customers. Lenin is grateful to Kiva lenders for helping people with low incomes in poor countries such as Nicaragua to have decent jobs.
