A loan of $200 helped to pay for labor to maintain his corn crop.

Asuncion's story

Asunción is 28 years old. He has a stable household with his wife in the El Frayle community of the Santo Tomás district, a community with a varied climate and abundant vegetation located in the Cutervo province of the Cajamarca region of Peru's northern mountains. Its population works in agriculture, commerce, and livestock production.

Asunción earns his living in agriculture, especially in the cultivation of yellow corn. He also raises cattle. His wife supports him in this work, milking the dairy cows in order to later sell the fresh milk to their neighbors or to make artisanal fresh cheeses. He has requested a loan of 500 nuevos soles [PEN] in order to pay for labor for the maintenance of his corn crop so that he can have a good production to offer to his customers.
