A loan of $750 helped to buy clothing and footwear.

Thandiwe's story

Greetings from Bulawayo, the second largest city in Zimbabwe. Thandiwe is 53 years old, married with three children. Two of the children are attending school. She has a retail business she has been running for five years, selling footwear and clothes for persons of all ages. Thandiwe says that the main challenges to her business are high import duties on clothing items and stiff competition in the market. Thandiwe requested a $750 loan to buy clothing and footwear. She says that the extra income generated from this loan will help her pay school fees for her children and meet day to day household expenses. In the future, Thandiwe would like to open her own boutique shop.
