Pedro Alfonzo has been the owner of a business in one of the markets in the City of León for 12 years. He opens for business at 5:00 in the morning and doesn't close until 5:00 p.m. He works to provide for his home, as he is the father of three children. Don Pedro is seeking this credit with Ceprodel to buy concrete blocks, cement, gravel, stone, zinc, and galvanized steel to build a kitchen for his modest home and thus improve his family's quality of life. Pedro's dream is to maintain his well-established business and continue improving his home, little by little.

Don Pedro solicito este crédito a Ceprodel para la compra de bloque, cemento, arena, piedrín zinc, y perline para construcción de una cocina en su humilde vivienda, así tener un mejor nivel de vida junto a su familia.

This loan is administered by Centro de Promocion del Desarrollo Local (CEPRODEL), one of Kiva’s larger partners in Central America. Founded in 1991 and based in Managua, Nicaragua, CEPRODEL specializes in the development and funding of housing cooperatives for traditionally marginalized communities, the provision of microfinance services to small businesses, and the promotion of innovative renewable energy projects. In addition, unlike many microfinance institutions in the area that have chosen to avoid the rural areas of the country due to the increased financial risk, CEPRODEL provides financial services to numerous clients in the agriculture and livestock industry.
