Massah is the featured leader of this group of entrepreneurs. Massah was born in Kenema 40 years ago. She is married to a diamond miner and the couple has 2 children who are attending secondary schools. For 11 years now, Massah has been selling bananas, plantains, oranges, pineapples, pears, and other fruits. With the help of this loan, these able and hardworking entrepreneurs will be able to expand their individual businesses, make more sales and consequently improve their living conditions. Massah will use her share of the loan (900,000 Sierra Leonean Leones (SLL)) to expand her business; she will buy large quantities of a wide variety of fruits to add to her current stock.
