Tenneh's story

Tenneh is 42 years old and lives at Paynesville North which has the largest local market in Montsorrade. She is a junior high school dropout, She’s married and her husband is a local businessman. They both have 4 children between the ages of 7 to 20 years old, who are in school and live at home.

She described herself as a hardworking person. For the past 15 years she has been selling soft drinks, milk, rice, etc., in the local market. She likes her business because of the ways customers respond to it. She started this business with money given to her by mother. By the means of a shared taxi she is able to get her goods to her table at the market. She is requesting a loan to purchase more soft drinks, milk, rice, etc., for her business.

She plans to buy a piece of land and build a house. She says thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia and enable small business people to increase their business volume.
