A loan of $550 helped a member to buy trays of eggs for resale.

Mariama's Group's story

This group is made up of three friends who all live in the same neighbourhood. The group representative is Mariama (seen in the photo with her hand raised). She is 46 years old and did not attend school. She is married to an electrician called Sébastin and they have five children, some of whom currently attend school. They are still responsible for three of their children. Mariama lives with her husband and their children and between them they provide for the expenses of their household.

Mariama has been selling eggs for 20 years now. She sells them from her home and also delivers them. She buys her supplies at a market in Benin.

In order to satisfy the demands of their customers, the members of the group work with the field partner, Alidé. This will be their second loan, the previous loan was fully and correctly repaid.
