The Amanecer group is in their 14th loan cycle. The group is putting in their best effort to be able to move forward. They are participating in the poverty elimination survey, which allows them to know the living situation of each member.

Felipa is a member of the group. She works making and selling cleaning products in her home. She has a good customer base formed. In her last survey, she was outside the poverty line, but she will continue working enthusiastically and training herself.

She is requesting this loan to invest in chemicals to make her cleaning products. She is grateful for the opportunity she is receiving to be able to grow and move forward.

Este grupo se llama Amanecer, y ya está en su ciclo número 14, donde todas y cada una está poniendo su mejor esfuerzo para poder salir adelante. Ellas están haciendo la encuesta de eliminación de la pobreza, que les permitirá conocer la situación de vida en la que cada una está.
Felipa es miembro de este grupo, ella se dedica a la elaboración y venta de elementos de limpieza en su domicilio, tiene una buena clientela formada , en su última encuesta se encontraba fuera de la línea de la pobreza, pero de igual manera sigue muy entusiasmada trabajándose y capacitándose.

This loan is part of the innovative “Poverty Stoplight” program developed by Fundación Paraguaya for women living in poverty. A “stoplight” measurement tool is used to help borrowers self-identify the type of poverty that affects them most (lack of income, dearth of financial opportunities, poor living conditions etc.). Borrowers rate 50 areas of their life as green (not poor), yellow (poor) or red (extremely poor). Together with their loan officer, they come up with a plan to resolve yellow and red indicators. Through this program, Fundación Paraguaya hopes to lift 9,000 women and their families out of poverty by 2017.
