A loan of $1,300 helped to purchase cattle for slaughtering and selling to her customers in Moamba and Maputo.

Ausenda's story

Ausenda has been a widow for 17 years. She has three children, two of whom are adults and one is underage and still in school. She's 44 years old. She completed 7th grade and lives in the house that she built on her own after losing her husband. She has earned a living through her meat sales business for over 10 years and it's her only means of livelihood. This is her 5th loan with Hluvuku. With the loan she intends to purchase cattle for slaughtering and selling to her customers in Moamba and Maputo. Her biggest dream is to be able to buy a vehicle which makes it easier for her to carry the meat towards her customers. Her challenge is the fact that she currently doesn't have the money to buy the vehicle.
