Buraima's story

Buraima is 51 years old, married and has four children. Buraima has a secondary education. She is responsible, goal-driven and considerate. Her husband and children help her with her business. Her family is very close-knit and they all have good relationships with one another. As an additional course of income for her family, she practices crop farming and livestock breeding. She started this business in 1994 with 12,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Buraima's hard work, she currently has 1 milk cow, 1 calf and 7 sheep on her farm. She also has an 0.88 hectare irrigated plot of land and a 1.8 hectare utilizable plot of land on which she grows potatoes, clover, wheat and corn. This agricultural business brings in about 10,000 som (KGS) per mont. The earns from this business allow Buraima to raise and provide for her children. For the purpose of further developing her business, she turned to Microfinance Bank "Bai Tushum." She is requesting a loan to buy sheep. A portion of the loan will also be spent buying cows. Buraima plans to invest the earnings from the loan in the further acquisition of livestock. She also wants to build a large house in the future.
