A loan of $1,075 helped buy electrical equipment.

Fatogoma's story

Mr. Fatogoma was born in April 1980 in Kadiolo. He is married with six children and lives with his wife in a traditional family in Kadiolo Noumousso, a district in Sikasso, the third administrative region of the Republic of Mali.

For over ten years Mr. Fatogoma has been buying and selling electrical equipment (solar panels, batteries, electric wire, etc.) He gets his supplies in Bamako.

This is his fifth individual loan with the Soro Yiriwaso micro-finance institution, to better satisfy an increasing number of customers. The previous loans have been repaid in full.

This loan will enable him to purchase five panels, 15 batteries and 12 rolls of wire in Bamako. Sales are conducted in his shop in Kadiolo, to a clientele composed of men and women, for cash and on credit.

He expects average monthly profits of 80,000 CFA francs. This profit will enable him to pay off the loan and its interest, and invest the rest in his activity.
