Plaxedes's story

Plaxedes is a 21-year-old businesswoman living in Mwenezi District, Zimbabwe. She volunteers her time as a Camfed Learner Guide, offering life skills education to improve the well-being of local students. Plaxedes is also a district committee member of Cama, Camfed’s alumnae network. She rents a table at the local flea market where she sells products including bags, shoes, jeans, shirts, skirts, track suits, and T-shirts. Plaxedes has been running her business for the past year and it has enabled her to support her family.

Plaxedes is requesting a Kiva loan to purchase more bags, shoes, jeans, shirts, skirts, track suits, and T-shirts to increase her supplies. She aspires to grow her business and open her own shop. Her loan will help her to provide for her family’s basic needs and assist vulnerable children in her community.
