Mayra Elisabeth's story

Mayra is a fighter and an entrepreneur who works hard everyday to give her family the best. She married young, and has two children. The youngest attends school, and the eldest helps his father with different field work. She was not able to complete her education due to a lack of financial resources, which did not allow her to finish primary school. She completed up to the fourth grade. As a homemaker and a farmer, her greatest source of income is growing coffee. This is an activity that she has performed with her husband for many years. Her parents taught her how to work in the field, and she inherited the land that her family now works on from them. Their land is located next to their home, which is a great advantage that allows them to take better care of their crops.

Currently, Mayra is seeking help to purchase fertilizers, manure and pesticides that will allow them to care and protect their coffee crops in the new season. Her dream is to see her family prosper, earn greater incomes through their coffee crops, acquire more land to farm, and continue expanding their coffee plantation in order to help their children in the future and strengthen their children's inheritance.
