A loan of $5,700 helped a member to buy one bale of handbags.

Bénédiction Group's story

The borrower, Ntakwinia, works in retail and is the member of a business group named "Bénédiction". She is 41 years old, married, and the mother of eight children, six of whom are in school (the other two are still very young). Ntakwinia has been selling used items, particularly women's handbags, for the past five years. She displays her merchandise at a lively local market. She is requesting a loan from Hekima in order to expand her business and she will buy one bale of handbags.

Ntakwinia started her business with some money received from Hekima. Her husband also works in retail. In the future, she would like to buy a plot of land, educate, clothe and feed her children. She thanks Hekima for its support to women entrepreneurs excluded from the traditional banking system.
