A loan of $2,500 helped buy cows.

Shailoo's story

Shailoo is 36, married and raising 5 children together with her husband. She has the equivalent of a high-school education and raises livestock for a living, first starting 16 years ago with 2,500 som worth of animals. Thanks to her persistence, she currently has eight dairy cows, four calves, ten horses, four colts and thirty-five sheep on her farm, and makes nearly 10,000 som a month. She has everything she needs to raise livestock. All her hay and other fodder has been harvested and stored. In addition to raising livestock, Shailoo also grows crops such as carrots, corn and clover. To further develop her farm, she's seeking a loan from Bai-Tushum & Partners to buy more cows, which will allow her to produce and sell more dairy products each month. She plans on using any additional income due to the loan to continue to buy more livestock, as well as to save money for her children's education.
