To cover her family’s expenses, she grows rice as her main source of income and can earn extra income as a factory worker in a spare-time job. This business, which Hoy has had for ages, has earned good income. She is in her second cycle with Vision Fund (Kiva’s partner). She has repaid the loan from her first cycle with success and good improvement to her household. As the leader of a big group, consisting of seven members, she is seeking a loan of 1,200,000 Cambodian riels. She will use her entire loan portion to pay for land-plowing fees and buy rice seeds for her farmland. She hopes that her business will improve and that she will able to expand her farmland more than before.
